Find an alternative for eternity? Why? Did you make the x2m system? Did anyone else volunteer and has the smarts to do what he does? Believe me i have looked for programmers who are willing to help hs. And we only have three good programmers. And at the moment no one has done more than eternity. And im telling this to your allonowing ears is that we had someone called dario? Heard of him? Guess not. He made the lib xenoverse. Olganix picked up his work and improved upon it. Heck even eternity used his work as source sometimes. The only genius behind x2m is eternity. We dont need anyone else for the moment. You have a point that what happens if he stops making tools. But unlike you who just likes to complain , we have already talked with eternity, unlike you we know him well.

People who are different are everywhere. But what triggers people like rai, i watch , quite a lot. Almost always what triggers him is stupid comments who dont want to think for themselves or when someone does something the thread creator advised not to do or if someone asks for something without looking at the tutorial section. But this doesnt normally happen the first time someone makes a blunder. Sometimes people go overboard. Like you did here, instead of asking why is this being done this way, you were saying this community is a joke. But here we are, talking . And you are still unbanned. We give chances to people who are worthy of it. Well my initial reaction was to laugh my balls off when i read your post. True this community has issues. What we do are the best we can do as volunteers to keep this from falling apart. We are a small number of people who do this in our free time . We volunteer. No one forces us to do this. Hello. It would behoove you next time to put in supporting points and details instead of putting out just a blank response.  You are correct in that my claims are true, and these are issues that still need to be reminded of.  If you want suggestions, well that's easy: Try to actually be more professional as someone of power, try to be more objective. Look and think of ways of alternatives incase eternity goes away and try to bring everyone together(or a lot of people really) to help figure out the method to making tools work with releases. Stop the extreme anti piracy mod measures: It doesn't work. It's only an inconvenience and it doesn't stop mod stealing.  Have a better sense of direction of your forum, don't make hasty decisions based on anger.

Also, I would suggest that instead of trying to insult my intelligence,  that you look back at your response and properly spell check. When you're so eager to respond  but lack  points to prove the person wrong , you make mistakes that one normally wouldn't make when formulating a good response.

This is simply not true at all, we managed for almost two years without the patcher and we have a deep enough understanding of the game to make almost all of the same mods, and even add entirely new characters without the use of the mod tools, the patcher or the installer. We don't promote these methods any longer since its ultimately unproductive and severely hinders creativity for less experienced modders.

At this point we only rely on X2M to prevent mod conflicts and the patcher for easier installation + editing certain file types.


The administration is run as a group and we have about ~20 friends who all get their say on how things are run around here. Ideally we would remove unjustified bans if we were made aware. But if you prefer having one sole ruler you best go somewhere else, mate, because we're a team

Uhh, that is correct. But the approval system is a necessary evil unfortunately. Before this was updated, we had pro-piracy links, viruses and scams as well as stolen mods. Now only a few stolen mods get passed us and they are removed the instant someone reports them to us.

Ultimately it comes down to Val, Titan, Xan and myself. We are currently the highest staff in both sites.

The circumstances surrounding our ownership of both sites are surprising to say the least, but it happened gradually over the course of a few months and we do our best to manage them both. If we ever need to step down and hire new staff, we will do so. Without the systems that me and Val put in place since we took over xenoversemods, the site would be near-impossible to manage, especially since I carry most of the weight of that site on my own and constantly make changes based on user feedback.

First of all, your comment shows that you have no programming knowledge whatsoever. If you had, you wouldn't need to ask for this.

We have people who could continue eternity's work if he decided to leave. And none of them needs a TUTORIAL for it because program engineering is a SPECIALISED SKILL!
What they need to continue eternity's endeavour is the SOURCE CODE of his tools aswell as his research history.
So, why hasn't eternity shared it yet, so others can work with it?

Just hold on a second and ****in THINK! eternity STILL updates his tools!
Any work made by any other without his knowledge would hinder his endeavours!

And the truth is YOU can put out good updates for xenoverse DLC if someone would just teach you?
Why would anyone teach you then? Why go through the effort of doing that if there are plenty of people around who can do that WITHOUT being taught a specialised skill they worked years of dedicated studying to acquire? Some of my friends offer Patreon as a way to support them, in some cases this is necessary so they can even justify the time they spend on modding, money doesn't grow on trees and time is a very limitted resource.
However, NOONE in this community would come to mind when I think of people who release only to their patrons.
Mostly they give early access; I question this behaviour aswell, but I am in no position to judge.
Some are withholding specific mods for a very significant reason! And that is not your place to know yet.

As for the mod redistribution thing, you seem to think that we put an immense amount of time sitting here thinking about how we could effectively stop people from doing it.
Truth is: we won't!
It took eternity a few hours to make the patch blocker, other than that we don't really do anything against it.
We tell people to have some common sense, whoever wants to act like a dick in that regard is out!
Why? Do your research. I elaborated this often enough.
If you want a community where every "mod" is the same, but in green, in red or rainbow colours, then make mods and tell people to do with them what they want.
All we ask of people who want to use shit we made in their uploads is the human decency to contact us first.
I have NEVER said no to a project that was more than just a recolor.
In fact, I often enough helped out by guiding someone through making their own mesh in the end rather than using something I made.
