Alright, so, here we go.
First of all I want to point out that viewer discretion is adviced for this message.
Later on it will contain foul language in a manner that we do not accept on this board.
But, as that guy pointed out, we're admins, we do what we want. Sue us.
Furthermore, you have made your exact intentions clear with two of your posts:
I'd rather be owned by the community via an argument, than to get the banhammer because I had conflicts with the mod(that didn't involve flaming).
Looks like I'm going to be responding to multiple people all at once. Lets have some fun!
For the time being though I will indulge you for the sake of people who are reading this thread and come back to this later on.
Unfortunately, Komodo replied before I got home and made a couple of points that I would have brought up - in a lot more eloquent and childfriendly manner. I'll just go in and add to it what is missing.
I don't think people here properly comprehend the nature of this. What is say, eternity decides to stop doing it all together? This essentially screws the community because they'll be forced to use replacement mods. X2M was the best thing to happen to DB games. What happens if a hypothetical XV3 comes out, and eternity decides to say "**** it I hate this shit"?
No one can handle the mantle because no one will be able to know what to really do. Truth is, I and a lot of people can actually put out good updates whenever a DLC releases, if we actually have some knowledge on what to do!
I don't think
you comprehend the nature of eternity's work!
First of all, your comment shows that you have no programming knowledge whatsoever. If you had, you wouldn't need to ask for this.
We have people who could continue eternity's work if he decided to leave. And none of them needs a TUTORIAL for it because program engineering is a SPECIALISED SKILL!
What they need to continue eternity's endeavour is the SOURCE CODE of his tools aswell as his research history.
So, why hasn't eternity shared it yet, so others can work with it?
If you really ask that you're a ****in ******!
You complain about how the XV2 community would be ****ed if eternity left?!
Just hold on a second and ****in THINK! eternity STILL updates his tools!
Any work made by any other without his knowledge would hinder his endeavours!
Eternity wants only HIS version of the patcher available, for that very reason!
People who want to contribute can work WITH him! That is what is actually happening, and if you had put any time in even looking through his thread you'd know that!
In fact, someone is currently working on a tool unrelated to eternity's releases, but they are doing their best to keep them not only compatible but to actually work hand in hand with each other!
So what if eternity leaves?
That'd mean he lost interest for good and won't update his tools anymore.
Titan brought up Dario. When Dario left he shared all the source code for his tools!
Eternity will do the same, so someone else can pick up where he left off.
THAT IS HOW IT WORKS!
And the truth is YOU can put out good updates for xenoverse DLC if someone would just teach you?
Why would anyone teach you then? Why go through the effort of doing that if there are plenty of people around who can do that WITHOUT being taught
a specialised skill they worked years of dedicated studying to acquire? The time they save could be spend by doing something actually usefull. Like, I don't know, maybe make modding tools?! Which brings us to another one of your ridiculous accusations.
Instead of putting out tutorials to actually help people know how to properly use the tools down to the basics, a single man(eternity) is incharge of actually putting out full updates.
Since you have no idea how to program or how to mod, you obviously never made a tutorial.
That's nothing to be ashamed of.
Something you
should be ashamed of is standing here DEMANDING people to work for you.
Making a tutorial that is easy to follow is a lot of work, sometimes even more work than working off the steps you try to teach there.
Most of us have a job, some of us have families to feed and a few of us have shit like "end terms" and "enrollment tests".
We're not sitting at home all day thinking about how we could best start online drama, our free time is extremely limitted!
We're not getting paid to spend all this time on working for the community.
Even so we decide to do it.
And once more this is a comment that shows that you did no research whatsoever; eternity DID make tutorials, amazingly well written and detailing how his tools are used and what can be done with them.
It's happened in the XV2 Mods installer thread where people ask about the updated tools during the DLC releases. Along with the threat of banning. These were noobs, but the point remains the same.
If you go in and ignore a "Stop asking the same shit over and over again, it's spam and won't change the answer that's already given" announcement by basically reposting that very same question immediately afterwards then you can bet your ass that I'll remove yours from our forum.
If you're a) too dumb to read the post before yours or b) just spamming to be a nuisance, then good riddance!
And now I'm wondering. Was that your example for us
ban you if you make legitimate complaints. No, heaven forbid you actually have a differing opinion on something or speak your mind
?
Because you still have not brought up a single incident that would give you any credibility here.
3.
The passive aggressive smug attitudes by some of the members here. You got dudes like Rai who have since XV1, been so toxic to the community because their main purpose isn't to actual help people, but to pretty much belittle others. Same for a lot of the other guys. The modding team sure loves instant banning people who ask questions or talk about subjects, but let these guys here?
Well, since you brought him up, let's have him serve as an example.
Rai , would you mind sharing with this thread how often we two have had arguments about your behaviour?
Did you count how often I was about to throw you out?
Rai is not an exception there. A personal friend of mine,
Kirihum was about to get the boot not too long ago for his misbehaviour towards people who were just looking for help.
As for the second part of your hypothesis, please refer to my previous point.
This is a DB game. Stop trying to make money off of character skins and retextures by putting your mods solely on patreon(agwang is a culprit of this). At the end of the day, you're not creating unique character combos to truly make the character different from the rest of the cast.
There is so much wrong with this, I didn't even know where to start at first, so I am just gonna repeat what I was saying over and over again until now: DO. YOUR. ****IN. RESEARCH.
Agwang has NOTHING to do with us or the Dragonball Xenoverse community. NOTHING!
I too am against this whole Patreon thing that's been going on, and I am severly pissed that many newcomers try to copy this behaviour (most of them have NOTHING to offer!!!)
Some of my friends offer Patreon as a way to support them, in some cases this is necessary so they can even justify the time they spend on modding, money doesn't grow on trees and time is a very limitted resource.
However, NOONE in this community would come to mind when I think of people who release only to their patrons.
Mostly they give early access; I question this behaviour aswell, but I am in no position to judge.
Some are withholding specific mods for a very significant reason! And that is not your place to know yet.
And finally, "you're not creating unique character combos to truly make the character different from the rest of the cast"... DO YOUR ****IN RESEARCH you moron, since we are doing exactly that since eternity released bac/bcm support for genser!
Now, a word on our "anti-piracy" meassures:
We won't support *software piracy*. Say what you will, criticise it, I don't care.
As for the mod redistribution thing, you seem to think that we put an immense amount of time sitting here thinking about how we could effectively stop people from doing it.
Truth is: we won't!
It took eternity a few hours to make the patch blocker, other than that we don't really do anything against it.
We tell people to have some common sense, whoever wants to act like a dick in that regard is out!
Why? Do your research. I elaborated this often enough.
If you want a community where every "mod" is the same, but in green, in red or rainbow colours, then make mods and tell people to do with them what they want.
All we ask of people who want to use shit we made in their uploads is the human decency to contact us first.
I have NEVER said no to a project that was more than just a recolor.
In fact, I often enough helped out by guiding someone through making their own mesh in the end rather than using something I made.
Takes more time but is so much more satisfying for a starting modder!
And now PLEASE ask for examples. I still hold contact with MANY people I coached before, I am sure they'll gladly confirm that themselves!
That's the kind of community we want. Respect, team work and some fun here and there to distract us from our every day schedules.
And FINALLY we're coming to the points I actually want to talk about.
Hello. It would behoove you next time to put in supporting points and details instead of putting out just a blank response. You are correct in that my claims are true, and these are issues that still need to be reminded of. If you want suggestions, well that's easy: Try to actually be more professional as someone of power, try to be more objective. Look and think of ways of alternatives incase eternity goes away and try to bring everyone together(or a lot of people really) to help figure out the method to making tools work with releases. Stop the extreme anti piracy mod measures: It doesn't work. It's only an inconvenience and it doesn't stop mod stealing. Have a better sense of direction of your forum, don't make hasty decisions based on anger.
Also, I would suggest that instead of trying to insult my intelligence, that you look back at your response and properly spell check. When you're so eager to respond points to prove the person wrong , you make mistakes that one normally wouldn't make when formulating a good response.
Looks like I'm going to be responding to multiple people all at once. Lets have some fun!
Let me comment on your very first sentence with two quotes from the post you were commenting on.
At work, not much time to comment on this rn.
Nothing more to say. Moving on.
you are right with some of your claims, even though you didn't bring up any arguments to prove them

You are correct in that my claims are true, and these are issues that still need to be reminded of.
This is one of the main reasons why I know that this whole discussion is pointless.
You won't bother to educate yourself. You're one of those people who see what they want to see and take anything as a "proof" for an opinion they find too exciting to change.
Anyway.
I asked for your suggestions.
These are your suggestions. I see...
Well, looks like I already talked about ALL of them above. Nice.
Also, I would suggest that instead of trying to insult my intelligence that you look back at your response and properly spell check. When you're so eager to respond but lack points to prove the person wrong , you make mistakes that one normally wouldn't make when formulating a good response.
Aaaah yes. I am sure spelling errors were the result of the lack of points to prove you wrong. Couldn't be the tiny phone keyboard I used to write it in combination with the timeframe of only a few seconds to get it done since I was, as I'd like to remind you, a productive member of the working society at the time I wrote it.
Spelling errors are definitely the first thing one has to point out when being asked to deliver proof to their claims.
Looks like I'm going to be responding to multiple people all at once. Lets have some fun!
And with this we've come full circle. This is what I opened this post with, remember?
Let's set aside the fact that you have not once delivered any evidence for what you claimed.
Let's set aside that you demanded knowledge to be handed to you for the sole sake of "it being dangerous otherwise".
Knowledge that is IMPOSSIBLE to deliver in a tutorial thread as it is, as I explained, a professional specialisation.
You think you're entitled to be granted full access to all our achievements, no matter if they're related to the game or not.
You demand us to spend our time writing tutorials, organizing, effectively working for YOUR benefit, as you also kindly pointed out exactly HOW we have to work for you.
You know, we have this thing going; we listen to any complaint we get by users, help with our replys as good as we can, we take suggestions into consideration or openly ask for them and then keep the whole matter between us and the users.
We solve issues in PM, privately. Noone is singled out for doing something wrong by us.
You made this massive thread, calling us a joke, making unconvincing claims, uneducated demands and say "Let's have some fun!" to top it all off.
Not only are you an entitled little piece of shit, you are trying to cause a scene, bring needless drama where it is simply not wanted.
All of this came out of nowhere; we have never heard of you before.
Your *****ic claims show that you know NOTHING about the community or how we work; xenoversemods.com is unstable, inconvenient to manage and due to mistakes to the former administration incredibly unorganised.
That is a fact known to everyone, the only thing it has going for it is the mod database.
Had you taken the time to actually interact witht the community you would have known that the current state of THIS website is not final!
I have been working on the update code for months, and again, TIME IS A LIMITTED RESOURCE!!!
Who do you think you are, telling us what to do with the time we have per day, effectively telling us how to live our life? Answer me that. Who the **** are you?
Are you in ANY way contributing to the well being of the community?
No, the only reason why you came here is to sow chaos. And you partially succeeded already; you forced us to spend time on YOU rather than making mods or actually working on direly needed improvements on the community, as I would have done at this time of day.
That being said; we are actually planning to increase our staff. I also already know who I want in a moderating position on our websites, if they're willing to take time out of their days working for people who enjoy mods, but unfortunately also for garbage like you.
I never wanted to be a moderator. I was put in these shoes.
I still don't want to be a moderator. I came here to mod, not to find a cure for cancer.
Thing is, if my cure for cancer was legal, I promise we wouldn't be sitting here discussing this.
It would just be me talking to myself!
