First of all, your comment shows that you have no programming knowledge whatsoever.

If one person can do something, why can't another person do the same? It's not "impossible."

If you had, you wouldn't need to ask for this.

It's not a matter of just teaching me,  oh bastion of knowledge . It's putting out a god damn guide for the community that would help people for the future. Or anything really.  It would cut down on so many people complaining. It would prevent  a lot of  people from relying solely on one guy. Believe me, some of us like independence.

Say what you want about how you have all the "methods" in tact, but last time  I checked  the community still has to wait on one person. So in essence, the community relies on him.

With this regard, I say: Put up or shut up. Don't tell me that you actually have some knowledge on this, when  I haven't seen actual results showcasing that you know of an alternative outside of eternity. You've been pretty blatant about  saying "oh this will happen I promise" rather than the actual results.

Making a tutorial that is easy to follow is a lot of work, sometimes even more work than working off the steps you try to teach there.

Most of us have a job, some of us have families to feed and a few of us have shit like "end terms" and "enrollment tests".

Which is why it's not a one man job, but beneficial when many people knowledgeable on the subject contribute to the same thing.





Hopefully not. However, I'd argue that time is something best managed and that if you are dedicated at something, you will  do it. While if you have no motivation for it, you'll make all the excuses in the world to not do it.

We're not getting paid to spend all this time on working for the community.

Perhaps this is also the reason why an alternative might not be made. Money motivates people. Lack of money demotivates people. So in essence, future support may not happen because you're not getting money(which would support yourself)  to properly motivate you.

Even though this is the only forum that has some knowledge on Xenoverse mods? Do you not comprehend this: This is the only active community for XV2 Mods, and honestly that's really bad.   There is no active community for Steam, Reddit, Gamefaqs, Neogaf, or w/e forum when it comes to mods.  Now imagine a noob comes here, the only real community, and he gets banned from the only community that can potentially help him.

All because he might have asked a question. But other people can get away with it?


So essentially, someone who makes a mistake or doesn't read a thread  gets an instant ban.  But someone who insults members in nearly every post gets  special treatment. What..the...****. At the end of your post, you said that you didn't want to be a moderator: It shows, because you have no real desire to uphold the rules fairly and justly.  Reason number 2 as to why I feel the XV modding community is a joke.

Except that you're clearly wrong. He did have some part in the XV community. He put out good tutorials for Xenoverse 1. He put out mods(paywall) to the community.  He isn't part of this specific community, but he still had some following before people knew he was a fuk boi. He might be a tool, but he did contribute a lot of mods for the community and to deny that, is completely and utterly  asinine.

Where are the results then? I don't care about hypotheticals, theories, or hearsay. Where is the now? Lets make one thing clear:  The utter majority of mods use a characters combos. Lets say that hypothetically, you found a way to make something new and from the ground up

Reality: It's several months after the game is released and: There are no satisfactory results. Because at the end of the day, it's gonna take a shit shit shit ton of effort, won't be viable, and will probably never be good.  And that's fine. It's the developers who have more time and effort and a budget to be able to create completely new combos/combo sets. Even if 1 user knows how to do it, the reality is that the vast majority of people won't put in the time and effort. Don't be deluded into thinking that a lot of mods aren't reskins. Butter it up, use any terminology you want, but that's what a lot of them are. And that's okay. It's up to the developers and people with more experience and a budget to do that.

Um...that's pretty much the majority of Xenoverse mods... Reclours, SSJ5's, SSgreens, reds, Deviant art BS, etc.  Have you even checked the XV Mods website? Do you have any idea on how unoriginal a lot of these mods are?

No one is forcing you to do anything. You could become a regular member, and barely anything would change.  Exactly how much do you  really need to contribute, when this forum as a whole isn't exactly one of the more demanding ones in terms of member and post activity?  You're a grown adult. You're not put into anything.  If you truly didn't want to be a mod, you could easily quit, and just be a regular moderator who just does mods or gives advice on the side.
