I didn't get any java update, also what is error 5? Error 5 is one of the flex sdk errors, documented in the troubleshooting section. EDIT: well, it is actually error 6. |

ok, so i've reinstalled Java, and done the Ret=6 Fix on the Troubleshooting Guide (at least i think i have, here is what my Flex SDK looks like now: imgur.com/rijmtN1 ) unfortunately, no luck. Now i'm really lost. |

Now i'm really lost. Did you touch at any time the "Internal" folder of the installer? Maybe the compiler is failing because it is really failing (e.g. some file missing in the compilation) |

Also, I would suggest you to put the flex sdk at C (remove the ini file of the mods installer at AppData/Roaming/XV2INS. That path were you have it, in addition to being long, it has white spaces. Two things that can be problematic.

Alright, put it in :C, and I haven't touched the Internal folder, I've looked inside, but didn't touch anything. And i've replaced that folder with the clean download multiple times, i don't believe that is the issue. Although I did try again, no dice.

Did you remove the ini file in AppData/Roaming/XV2INS to reset the configuration of the installer and find the compiler path again?
Also, in addition to put in C, remove any kind of white space from folder name. No "Adobe SDK", just put flex_sdk.

Well, if I were you, I would search a few pages ago and run the process monitor, and get a PML log of the mxmlc.exe, to see everything it tried to do.

Nothing, same error. Also, the Charcreat.exe seems to work normally. i've managed to make an x2m file even though i cant install it...

I'm not liking at all that "demand tone" you are using. I already told you it is not currently a priority, as I want to do other things, and at the very least I'm not going to research that until after 0.7.
You can still use those characters by installing in any other slot. It is not like it is the end of the world to share a slot with some other character.
