Download emotool. There are several bats in the folder mix_parts examples.Rename the bats as txts.Read and research them. There are explanations written by eternity in them.
Copy the emo, emb, emm and 2ry file of base chara into the folder of emotool.Copy the emo,emb and emm file of the chara whose parts you want to use into the folder of emotool, too.Choose a bat in the examples given by eternity which seems simillar to your moderation.Rename the bat as txt.Edit it.Then rename the txt as bat after your edition. Then run the bat. Then you can get the files.
Drag a emo file onto show_parts_info.bat,then you can know the names of the parts in it.Drag a emo file onto export_obj.bat,then you can get the obj files.
If you want to mix parts between charas with different height, you need to shrink the models or to enlarge the models with 3D model software such as 3DMax.Edit the other, not the base. The height given in the thread Estimated heights of characters is not so exact. You need to estimate it in 3D model software. If you want to mix parts between male and female, the scale of the trunk and upper limbs and the lower limbs are different. You can't delete vertexs of the obj file, otherwise it can't be injected.
After the edition, you need to inject the obj files into the emo file. The first way is to rename the folder xxx_exported as xxx_work.Drag the folder xxx_work onto inject_obj.bat,then you can assemble the parts. The second way is better but bothers.Use sf4 viewer to open the emo file. Then inject the obj files edited into the emo file.Drag the emo onto show parts info.bat, then you will know the parts' names and order in the emo.The order is the same as it shows in sf4 viewer. In sf4 viewer, you can only inject the counterparts. You'd better inject the obj files edited with sf4 tool.If They are injected with emotool, sometimes there will be something wrong.
Drag a emo file onto show_skeleton_info.bat,then you can know the structure of the bones in it.The most important thing when mixing parts is to choose the corect bones to exclude.
Every part should have suitable bones to match. The bones of the body are similar. They're universal and easy. You may exclude them in the bat by putting them in bones_to_not_add.Cloth parts of fighters move with the body parts. You may put them in exclude_bones_parts in the bat, unless you are adding something that the base dose not have such as wings or weapons.
Everybody have different hair. The bones of hair, cape, dress are special and complicated. When you choose which chara to be set as base, you should avoid to copy complicated bones when mixing parts. It will cause many troubles. If you want to make Saga god cloth without helmet, the easy way is to set Saga gold cloth without helmet as base.If you set Saga god cloth as base, you have to copy the bones of the hair, because it's not universal,it's special. But it's hard to deal with the bones of hair, unless you are a expert like eternity.
You may download miha's Dohko Plain Lost Canvas and research how he made it.He put his bats in the mod.I learn a lot from him.
