Disabling Motion Blur
The Motion Blur in Jump Force is.. pretty bad. As much as I love UE4's Per object motion blur solution. It doesn't look great in this game and leads to a bunch of problems when it comes down to taking pictures and just general visibility when playing. Here's a small tutorial on how to remove the Motion Blur without having to play on low settings.
Follow this file path;
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\JUMP_FORCE\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
You'll find a bunch of files that are built with packaged PC games. I believe you need to launch up the game atleast once if your not seeing any files here.
The one you want to mess around with is Scalability.ini
Open up Scalability.ini and copy and paste these values.
[PostProcessQuality@3]
r.MotionBlurQuality=0
[PostProcessQuality@2]
r.MotionBlurQuality=0
[PostProcessQuality@1]
r.MotionBlurQuality=0
Save the file when you are done.
Go right click on the file and go to properties. Set the files attribute to Read-only.
Once done, hit apply on that. Now the game can't edit this file by mistake!
Editing Render Resolution
Have a monitor that's 4K and want text and UI elements to write in 4K whilst you play at 1080p?
This is possible by editing the game's rendering resolution.
To perform this, follow this file path;
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\JUMP_FORCE\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
The one you want to mess around with is GameUserSettings.ini
Open up GameUserSettings.ini and copy and paste these values.
You'll find a value named sg.ResolutionQuality=100.000000 which should be right at the top.
Set this based on the resolution that you have set currently.
For example, if you want the game's UI to run at 4K and the game to be rendered at 1080p. You can set your game to 4K beforehand. go to this setting and dial back Resolution Quality to 50.
Half of 2160 is 1080. which is 50% of 4K hence why we put in 50. Use this as a base for whatever resolution you want to achieve.
