Well I don't know how to create a custom character. I just tried to create by using copy from game option in the character creator where ever possible In char file i created a empty folder named "TEJ" in the DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2\data\chara\ then i tried to save it in D:\DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2\data\chara\TEJ and it said bool_cdecl X2mFile::Validate(void): Directory "TEJ" must exist in the package then it said x2m save failed

I don't know how to create a custom character. I just selceted the option "copy from game" whenever availabe. I selected GKB for all values. I gave the name of mod TEJ. And chara name also TEJ. In Chara files option I selected D:\DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2\data\chara\TEJ which I created and is empty. Then I tried to save it. But it said this: bool_cdecl X2mFile::Validate(void): Directory "TEJ" must exist in the package

Update to latest version. It will probably give you an error about your directory being empty. Your directory TEJ cannot be empty. It must contain the files of the character.

Umm... which character files? And how do I get them? I only know how to use the XV2 Patcher tool and copying all mod file into the data folder in game directory.

Okay, so I tried it with a different X2m file and got the same error (after running as admin) I obviously have failed somewhere, but here is the link to the Pikkon X2m I was talking about. I failed to do a custom Vegito X2m just to check if it was the file, but I think it was just me, and I do not know why.

That mod installs and works fine here. Somehow the installer cannot write in (Xenoverse2 Directory)\data\ui\texture\CHARA01.emb in your computer. (or it cannot create the intermediate directories)
By the way, if the mod wasn't made by you, please don't post a public link without author permission.

I understand, but it was provided via a way that I could not provide it otherwise, I will delete the link, and could it be due to the fact my DBXV2 is in a different drive?

The different drive doesn't matter. But try to check if the file at (game directory)/ui/texture/CHARA01.emb exists, to see if it was created or not (and if it is , check if it has a zero size). Also, I guess that drive isn't 100% full or anything like that, right?

I do have a directory for that, but it's for the patcher, should there be a different one? Maybe I didn't set this up right at all. And it's not at 100% nowhere close nope.

The installer writes at the data directory used by xv2patcher, as it doesn't touch cpk. So, the directory exists but that file doesn't? The weirdest thing is that the battle portrait was written before (you should probably see a fiel called PKN.emb there).
Do you have any kind of custom cpk? Problems with custom cpk have been solved, but still it would worth to check.

The file does exist, as like a folder, with a picture of a SSJ4 Broly texture mod I'm using, it's a .dds file, but I don't have a custom cpk, because I don't know how to mess with that stuff. I also don't have a PKN file there.

Then, that's weird. Because the installer writes first the file at data/ui/texture/PKN.emb, and also the files of the character at data/chara/PKN/. It is after that, that it proceeds with writing the file chara01.emb.
Anyway, the closer thing that comes to my mind now is a guy that had similar problems with SS Mods Installer, and it was an issue with some antivirus software.

Well, I use Avira and it doesn't say that it has stopped any files like that or such, so I truly don't know what the problem may be. Does the mod installer need to be somewhere specific, and is there more than just the two .exe files and the internal folder that I should worry about?

It doesn't need to be anywhere specific. I would still try to put the program in antivirus exception list or turn it off for a moment to see if that was the issue.

Okay, so that didn't work either. I do notice that in the folder I hold the installer it creates a temp folder with a TMP file, but once I get through the error that folder is deleted and the TMP file disappears too, with no trace of anything left behind.

Ok so i tried the mod and it works, it installs the new character with the slot but when i'm in game and hover on that char it doesn't appear on screen and after i select it to play with it the loading screen just won't load the characters. What am i doing wrong while creating the character?

What am i doing wrong while creating the character? Most likely BCS and / or a file missing in your new character folder. Just as eternity said, this doesn't do magic. If your original mod isn't working, it won't fix it for you

That temp folder is for temp files only, the files there are deleted automatically. It is not related at all with this issue.

Updated to version 0.23.
Only change is fixing compatibility with a BAD edited custom cus file that someone has dsitributed with some mod (I don't know who, or the mod). They bad hexedited the file, and made the first byte of the file F3 instead of standard 23 ("#"), destroying compatibility. I've relaxed the cus signature check now, that file should work.
But to whoever did that, stop doing that kind of things.

So, I've tried reinstalling, using the now updated 0.23 file, I've tried moving everything to same place within the Xenoverse 2 directory, and the only other thing I could think of is reinstalling the entire game, and I would prefer not to do that, because I have already spent a lot of time on the game. I keep getting the same error no matter what I do, and nothing is changing. I'm going to try running it as admin again as a last ditch effort.
EDIT: That did not work either.
