For reading, both programs behave as the game running with xv2patcher: it first tries to locate files on disc and if not found, it searches for them in the cpk's.

Updated to version 0.2. List of changes:
0.2 - (Common) Added support for cso. (Note: Mods generated with version 0.2 of the editor cannot be opened with previous version of the tools) - (Common) Improved some error messages here and there. - (Editor) A new guid can now be generated - (Editor) Awaken skills now show skill id (decimal) - (Editor) Name of character can now be copied from game too - (Editor) Skills without proper name will now show short name followed by id in decimal, instead of only the id - (Editor) Fixed a bug where the remove button in the Slots section wouldn't do the expected thing, and it would remove another entry instead. - (Installer) The message "Select slot for costume" wouldn't show costume name, but weird symbols.
See the tutorial section about how to use cso for using other chars sounds or using custom sounds. Also, please note that mods created by new version of the editor won't work in old version of installer (or editor). (but of course old files are fine in new version, the program will always be backwards compatible).
Users of a version previous to 0.2 would get a criptic message "Cannot write future version" if attempting to install a mod made with a higher version (I have replaced that criptic message now)

I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I always get the "I've detected that the bac or bcm or both don't point to parent location" error. And my game keep giving me the "corrupted files" message. I'm new in this, can you help me?

With edited chara_sound the tool doesn't work I've detected an incompatibility with cso editor. Cso Editor is not writing the header size at offset 6. The game doesn't seem to care about that, but my parser is more strict. I will fix this. (Editor: incompatibility is only what cso editor. Forget what I said about cus editor, cus editor should be compatible)

Forget what I said about cus editor, cus editor should be compatible) I to solve that edited the cso with genser tool (I have to edit it to add the voices of some NPC like Demigra)

Updated to version 0.21. Fixed the small incompatibility with CSOEditor. I'll probably try to make my parsers less strict in the future.

If there is a problem with a cus file, send it to me and I will see what may have been wrong. As for the other, I don't know, that's the first time a message like that appears. That error happens when the installer tries to append the dds file of the selection menu to the emb of the game. The most likely situation is a permissions issue, though. Otherwise, send me the x2m file, I cannot guess things blindly. P.S: Actually, that error of phase 5, happens when it tries to save the emb file back on disk (after having succesfully added it in ram previosuly), so a permissions issue is the most plausible explanation. I checked in the code, that part can only fail if the file system file cannot be created/modified, it doesn't fail under any other circumstance. P.S2: Did you ever run the program as administrator? If you did one, you will always have to do it. If you run the program as admin at some point, the program would have created files and folder with admin privilesges. If you later try to use the program in non-administrator mode, it cannot save to those locations.

Whelp, every single time I pick ANY characters to play in versus, the game is stuck on a infinite loop of loading. What would cause the game to do this? The characters? The programs? I don't know at all, so please help,someone.

Hey buddy! how can i change the new characters aura and stats? they are overpowered, always with blue aura and they doesn't have voice, also the portrait in the CSS loads fine, but not the in-battle portrait, there is something i can do to fix it?

Battle portrait works fine since version 0.11 (you may need to reinstall a mod installed in version 0.1 that had that bug). Otherwise, if it doesn't appear, is bcause something was wrong with your emb portrait (like file names inside the emb not properly set up). The aura and stats will be implemented in future.
