they're only saying that to blame shift. they dont know how or dont want to fix a problem that is caused by you using their mod installer, so now its time to blame the consumer by saying they pirated a game, we all bought our games on steam and the only mistake we made apparently is putting confidence in their modding services because this is a major problem afflicting many MANY people, and they wanna sit on their hands from what i've observed. just count this as a lesson learned and dont download anything from them for XV3 or any future games.
i used to have confidence in them fixing their problems, but now it looks like we're in the blame shift era of this site.

Eternity's tools work just fine for me. I am on the newest game version. Since this is the case for most people, most people will think a game is pirated if it is that far behind on the version number. The mod installer is not backwards compatible from what I've seen and you don't have to pay anything to reach the game version the mod installer requires. The people here are willing to help, but not if you post comments like the one above mine. It is alright to complain but it is a must to do so in civilized manner.

When you access the base game's menu (where "Press any button", and options + exit game or whatever is displayed), what game version do you have written in the right down corner?

If you truly have the game on Steam, then delete the bin folder and verify files in Steam. If that doesn't work, then try going to C:\user\<username>\appdata\roaming\ and delete the XV2INS folder there.
As for "second time", you've only got four posts here and I've only interacted you once. So no, there hasn't been a "second time".
Also ignore Destroyer, he clearly has no idea what he's talking about. The patcher(And mod installer?) gets the version number from the game's .exe file. The only way that you'd get this error is either through a pirated copy (and a badly pirated copy at that), you have multiple copies of Xenoverse 2 on your PC and XV2INS is directed to the wrong one, or somehow your game's folder has broken to the point where your game's .exe is that of an older version.
Considering you're able to actually launch the game, it's probably something to do with your XV2INS installation.

thanks, it worked. when I said about the ''second time'' is because in my other account you said that I had pirated the game.

I've got a problem with this. When I have XV2Patcher installed on my Steam copy of the game, it makes it so that the character selection screen (where you select your fighters for PQ's and whatnot) is empty. No characters to select, just the background. At this point I can only alt-F4 the game. I have to play without the patcher or else I can't do anything in game.
This is a problem no one else seems to have and I really have no idea how to fix it, or if the patcher needs to be updated or something. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to your Xenoverse 2 folder and delete the data folder and go to C:\Users\<username>\Appdata\Roaming\ and delete the XV2INS folder. You will have to reinstall any mods you want. Don't install mods that contain old system files, as that will screw up your game.

Hi! I'm having a slight problem with my patcher. I'm trying to get into it, but this message appears. "class std::basic_string<char, struct std::char_traits<char>,class std::allocator<char> > __cdecl DlcToString(int): Unknown dlc 6."

Will try deleting the data folder and verifying files though.

You do. You need to enable hidden files and folders.

For some reason no battle music plays during the extra story mode. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Hey, I'm getting an error showing "Number of max slots is already at max." If I remove a character then I can install another character. It seems like I've hit the slot limit. Does anyone know a work-around or if that is the case?

Hi whenever I've tried to recently install any mod with X2M some error messages come up saying: bool__cdecl X2MFile::InstallCostumePartSets(void): Overflow, cannot assign suitable(s) partset(s) id(s)
InstallCostumePartSets failed
Install failed on phase 0. Will try to undo.
Installation was undone.
Program will close now.
And then XV2INS closes. The only thing that I can think of is that it's to do with the mod amount, of which I have 324 installed, but I honestly don't know. Any and all help will be appreciated
