How can i make multiple X2M files into normal data/ files? You can extract the x2m with a zip extractor, and the files will be there. But cms, cus, entry, etc, are just defined in an xml. They cannot have just be copied to data, that's data for the installer to put at install at time because some dynamic calculations (e.g. the id the char will get assigned) can only be done at install time.

You can't, you have too manually edit the cms, cus, pcs, aur, chara01.emb, new chara's portraits, and charasele.iggy, otherwise it won't be compatible with other mods

I make multiples, but they still as X2m. editing them after the install requires a manual update of the files, but I make a zip ( backup) in case I forget update the edited rush x2m.

That feature is not even coded yet. It is in fact one of the things planned for last. Atm the only codded thing internally is the special event voice one, "sev", which was the most challenging one. Anyway, you can install atm to other existing slots and then uninstall and install them again at 0.4 release. At 160 slots, chars, there is a total of 160*32 = 5120 chars. Most challenging one in terms of adding a feature ro the installer that makes sense to use with it? From what I learned about the file I never would have thought it would be too complex for you to break down...

From what I learned about the file I never would have thought it would be too complex for you to break down... It is complex because entries in sev-files are bi-directional. Your character doesn't only have an entry but it can also appear in other character entry. Your charcter doesnt't only have to add a new entry on itself, but also in every character it interacts with. Also, let's say I install a Vegeta mod, and then a Trunks mod. They wouldn't normally recognize each other even if they added sev entry. But I made the implementation in such way that it will be possible: the sev file will be rebuilt every time a mod is installed/uninstalle based on every currently installed mod. You have an example of what the sev section will be like in the tutorial of chara creator. That global management of sev was part of the difficulty in implementation. The other was the gui in the chara creator, the gui for the sev custom mode. Maintaning all those comboboxes synchronized was annoying.

Hmm. Didn't take that into account, sorry. For one added character it appeared very simple, but I guess it does get extremely complex the more you add to it.

In the next update for the mod installer, will there be a way to add different names to different slots? That (and multiple css selection dds) have been postponed to 0.5, as 0.4 already has too many changes.

bool_cdecl X2xmFile:InstallCus(bool): addskillset 0 failed. you probably have a dead id in the cus file, caused by manual editing or a replacer mod. whats this supposed to mean At some point you used a manual mod which left a dead id. In the installer window, use Tools->Find dead ids, and you will be able to delete them. Thank u eternity! It helped solve my problem! THANKS! Wish u all the best in ur work!
