I hope there really was noone who took this seriously. Gotta say though, 17,125$? Nice.  Anyway, I have been working very hard recently on actual MODS which are obviously gonna be released FOR FREE. Duh. Unfortunately fate leads me away from my homestead once more for a few days. I'll bring my laptop, but won't have access to all my shit while I'm gone. Unfortunately (again?!) most of the stuff I was preparing is for a joint (HUMONGOUS) project of several modders, so I won't be releasing any confidential info about those things. But I do have something in stock that will satisfy those of you who have been spending the last 2 months PM'ing me with "When U make mods again?"(pretty sure the ones I am referring to know who I mean  ) Since the man, the lizard, the legend komodoxeno himself teased a picture already I guess it's fine if I add another of our project aswell. Work on my current participation to this is finished, but there is something else, something bigger, something darker... and THAT still needs LOTS of work. Keep an eye out for more info Currently my immediate attention goes towards a project I work on together with Sam_SYI , so no teasers for that one. Sam will show you once he feels comfortable enough. The thing I will release as soon as that's done though is this: FINALLY one of my very own projects! Now, it needs some more tinkering, but please keep in mind that this is only ONE screenshot... not the final version, which is a bit more than just a costume change In the meantime keep an eye on Xan and that weirdo with the scales and the long tail, I happen to know that they are plotting something interesting! So long o/
PS: Oh, before I forget: I am considering actually making a patreon page, although I will certainly not make anything EXCLUSIVE (EPIC)(OMFG!) for it. Whatever the hell I do, it will be free. Let me know what you think about that. Lol. Pan looks like she's lost her sh*t in that screenshot. Super excited for that one. In regards to the patreon page, I honestly don't see the point. Maybe it'd be a bit better organized, but that's the only advantage I can think of. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense to have your mods split/duplicated between two sources (three if you upload to XV Mods). That's just my $0.02. |

It's not a split. Patreon is "Gimme your money!", it's not a file sharing platform. Also not "Pay2Play", you're not going there to buy things.
All mods will be here. Patreon supporters won't get special access.

Petreon is there to support people, it was never meant to be a platform for buying things. There's not meant to be an "advantage", it's meant to be "Oh, a cool guy/girl has a patreon page up, and I enjoy their works so sure, I'll donate to them!". |

I wanna point out again that I am still conflicted about this; I like modding a lot, and having financial gain does kind of imply that I have to put even more time into it to make sure people don't waste their money by supporting me. I don't want my hobby to become a stress factor, I did that mistake when I chose my profession and kind of lost all joy in pursuing my previous hobby once it became my job.
On the other hand, to make sure I really can do all the things I want to put into Xenoverse I have to invest more time into it... which won't be possible if I don't earn money while I spend this time working on mods.
I hate my (current) job, and I would really be happy if I could reduce my hours of work there ^^
so, to make things short: I have not decided yet if I wanna commit myself to modding in this way. I may or may not have set up a patreon account already, but I won't publish it before I get my first few mods out. Also gotta make a documentation of all mods I still have laying around somewhere on my hard drive in a semi-finished state. Lost track of how many there are by now...
