when i try clicking on the xvins page it says It looks like this domain name has expired. instead does anyone know why

Because it's using the old links. You'll have to go to the tools section of this forum instead. Not that it matters right now as the game has updated and thus the installer/patcher does not work yet. Wait for Eternity to update.
