I basically put everything in the title: How do I get started with modding in XV2?
I have already downloaded and played around with (most of) all the tools, even managed to turn a CaC into a roster character, but that's where it ends.
So, long story short; I'm already familiar with the most important tools, I just don't know how to use them yet. Is there a tutorial for very early beginners or something? What do all the values mean? How do character files work? How do I do anything?
Even after hours of googling I still couldn't find the answer (maybe I'm just stupid, who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).
If you could link literally anything that helps someone like me, or even have a short explanation yourself, i would greatly appreciate it, as I'm starting to get frustrated.
Thanks in advance!
edit: I already know of the tutorials by eternia explaining the different tools, but tbh they didn't really help that much, considering I don't know anything about the values, how the files work etc.

There are a lot of different mods that could be created for Xeno. What are you looking to start working on specifically? Some that come to mind: - Skills - Characters - Quests - Clothes - Souls - ...

First of all, thanks for the fast reply.
I was basically looking for anything, tbh. Here are a few problems/questions I came upon while modding:
- I made a custom transformation, with help of eternitys tutorial, but it doesnt show up ingame. - I want to change the hight of a charatr beyond CaC limits - I want to turn one character into another upon transformation
SO, basically, everything character/skill related. Thanks again!

To get the skill to appear ingame: - In IDB tab in Skill Creator, leave all squares UNticked, set the stars to value from 1 - 5, U_0A: to minus one, U_0C: to 32001, U_0E: to -1, Buy to 1 - n+1, but 1 will work (= cost is 1 zeni). You can leave the rest be.
- I've only ever worked with CaC height alterations in "Become Ribrianne" transform and it didn't go very well, so someone else must pitch in here.
- Give them modified Purification, where in skill Creator in Model tab you select a VANILLA model value (you can click the "Model" text). It must be Vanilla roster, otherwise during reinstall (you most likely will reinstall during modding quite a few times before getting the hang of it) the value that you set could link to a different charatcter.
