You can already use the new tool created by MugenAttack. Click here --> tdb Tool ( Text editor )
I'll make my first collaboration in tutorials to Saint Seiya Soldier's Soul.
To edit the file need a hex editor , i use HxD: Download Here
Let's get started
-
First we must locate the file TdbChrName.tdb in Text Folder.
The file is a little confusing because it contains many names of the characters scattered throughout the game.
If all you want is to rename the Cloths, we know that there are 2 parts.
The first with the names of the gallery and the second with the names of the character selection menu for Battles.
The part with the Cloths name of the gallery starts from the line 00009F28.
And the Cloths selection menu in battle, from the line - 000175CE
Set languages, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc ..
Example screen:
I searched my armor in my language that I used to create the Black Saints.
And here you see the result.
The problem is that no individual labels for the characters in the battle menu. The names are generic.
Example:
[Armor first Bronze] - For all bronze
[Golden Armor] - For all Gold
[Divine Armor] - For everyone with Divine Armor.
Etc..
In English I have also tested
One thing I want to point out.
If you are going to change the names, try writing the name from the first letter that shows the original name (If then there are gaps in white nothing happens), but if I happened to put the name in the middle of the corresponding hollow name weave in my language and not appear.
And another thing, not elimineis any lines or gaps, respect the space to avoid creating mistakes. And the hollows do not go to use, fill with 00 in the hexadecimal part. Do not put a "." In the decimal part.
Example:
Just in case it is not clear "NOT REMOVE THE SPACES" remarked something I never do.
Attached for clarification.
I hope you liked it and that you can customize the game to your taste
