I created a discussion on steam linking people to this post, it you want me to delete it i'll gladly remove it from steam. Been alot of people trying to mod for 1.15 so thought it might be best to lead them here.

I have no problem with that, I'm happy for as many people to get the information as possible.

Everything worked right, but when I attempted to actually get into the menu screen it told me it would have to delete my save data since it couldn't be loaded. After closing it, making a copy of my save data and rebooting the game, I pressed yes to it and was greeted with the same screen over and over after going through with creating a new save.
Any solutions? I got a feeling I probably just missed a step or something.

You should really add a -max-downloads 16 to your batch file. Speeds things up a bit now and should speed things up quite a bit once the chunks-as-tasks branch gets merged. is there no solution to my problem You either have not installed .NET Core 2.0 or higher or have installed a x64 version on a x86 OS or vice versa.

The error "'dotnet' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." can only happen, if the system can't find a PATH environment variable that points to your .NET installation or if the variable exist, but points to somewhere wrong. This either means, you do not have it installed or something fucked up big time during installation.
In the (unlikely) second case you can 1) uninstall and reinstall .NET Core or 2) add the path manually to your PATH environment variables.

Thank you for posting this. As far as .net core 3.1, there are multiple versions. Which one should we download? Run apps, build apps, or advanced? Thanks again

Like me, you may have come across a trick that no longer works for downloading old versions of Xenoverse 2 through Steam's console. Sadly, this feature was removed in a recent Steam update. In another thread, I indicated I figured out how to downgrade Xenoverse 2 legally with no piracy or torrent nonsense (you have to actually have bought the game for this to even work) in the other thread, and received a few PM's asking me how I did it. So, I threw together a quick guide on downgrading the game to 1.14 for anyone who, also like me, is impatient and just wants to play the game modded as I've been doing the past couple of days. So without further ado... 1) Download DepotDownloader, extract the files into a folder somewhere easily accessible (e.g., on your Desktop and call it "DepotDownloader") 2) Download and install .NET Core 3.1 (you probably need the x64 version) 3) Download my XV2 1.14 DepotDownloader Batch File, copy the .BAT file from the .ZIP into the folder you extracted DepotDownloader into 4) Open the XV2 1.14 DepotDownloader Batch File with Notepad (right-click on it, click 'Edit'), change "steamid" to your Steam username and "yourpasswordhere" to your Steam password, save it 5) Run the Batch File, go through the verification prompts and the download will start ( NOTE: This is going to take a while. There may be points where it freezes for up to ten minutes or more, just let it do its thing and eventually it will finish. There will be no message or warning that it has finished, it will simply download everything and close the cmd window on its own so that will be your cue that it's done!) 6) Delete everything in your Xenoverse 2 Steam folder (yes, everything--your DB Xenoverse 2 folder should be empty; if anything messes up you can just redownload it from Steam after all) 7) After the download has finished, go to the DepotDownloader folder, navigate: depots -> 454651 -> 5427618 folder. This is where Xenoverse 2 1.14 downloaded to. Copy all these files into your DB Xenoverse 2 Steam folder 8) Make sure Steam is set to only update the game when you launch it from Steam (in Steam, right-click on DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2, click Properties..., Update tab, under Automatic updates, set to Only update the game when I launch it) 9) You now have a totally mod-friendly 1.14 version of the game. Enjoy! The only issue I'm having is the "Some game data may be corrupted. Run "VERIFY GAME CACHE" in your Steam Client" error message. Did I do a step wrong?

Could not execute because the specified command or file was not found.
Possible reasons for this include:
* You misspelled a built-in dotnet command.
* You intended to execute a .NET Core program, but dotnet-DepotDownloader.dll does not exist.
* You intended to run a global tool, but a dotnet-prefixed executable with this name could not be found on the PATH.
thats what mine says when i run the xv2 depot download help pls

I wish I could be more helpful with your guys' issues, but I personally just worked out this trick and haven't run into any issues so I'm not sure how to address or fix any particular problems... but I'll give it a shot. I should probably clarify that I haven't tried this with a "clean", unmodded version of the game. As soon as I downloaded the downgraded version and put it in my Steam folder, I installed the patcher and everything. I can imagine issues arising with the base game automatically connecting to the internet and Steam, whereas eternity's patch was made to be ran without Steam or any of that junk. Have you installed the latest modded version? I would assume so but I'm not sure what everyones' knowledgebase or interest is (modded vs. vanilla). I feel like successfully installing xv2patcher should get you to have a runnable game.
Is anyone just trying to run it automatically without modding it?
