First I want to say is, I'm not used to making tutorials, so I hope this is easy to follow.
I recommend keeping backups of your files before modifying them, in case you mess up or want to switch back to the original intro.
1: Find the video you want to use.
2: Download ffmpeg if you don't already have it.
3: Open CMD in the directory of ffmpeg.exe
4: Run this command
5: Download Scaleform Video Encoder and extract it.
6: Open ScaleformVideoEncoder.exe
7: At input name, browse for your avi file. Change the audio to none.
8: Download a tool like MediaInfo so you can find the bitrate of the video track of your avi.
9: In the video settings, replace the bitrate of the video with the one from your avi. For example, mine was 8403.
10: Uncheck the preview box and hit encode.
11: When that's finished, you'll see a new usm file in the directory of your avi. Change the name of it to "A00_01" without the quotes.
12: Next, you need to extract your movie0.cpk
13: Replace A00_01.usm in the folder with the one you made and repack the cpk.
14: Next we need to extract the audio from the video, so go back to CMD, and type in
15: Now extract data0.cpk and data.cpk.
16: The files you are looking for are in
If playing with Japanese audio...
"data0\data\sound\VOX\Demo\CAD_A00_01_VOX.acb" (and the awb)
"data\data\sound\SE\Demo\CAR_A00_01_SE.acb" (and the awb)
"data\data\sound\BGM\CAR_BGM.acb" (and the awb)
If playing with English audio...
"data0\data\sound\VOX\Demo\en\CAD_A00_01_VOX.acb" (and the awb)
"data\data\sound\SE\Demo\en\CAR_A00_01_SE.acb" (and the awb)
"data\data\sound\BGM\CAR_BGM.acb" (and the awb)
Note: If you are a using a music mod, you will find CAR_BGM.acb (and awb) in your loose file in your install directory. So you can use that one instead of the on ine the cpk if you do.
17: Download this pre-made clip of silence if you don't want to make one.
18: Open CAR_BGM.acb with Eternity's Audio Tool and look for track id number 152.
19: Replace that audio with the wav file you created from your video and save.
20: For the other two (CAD_A00_01_VOX and CAR_A00_01_SE) you can replace the audio in both of those with the silent track I provided or a silent track you made.
21: Place you updated files in your XV2 directory where they're supposed to go and enjoy.
The movie0.cpk goes in the cpk folder, and the audio files go in their respective folders in the data folder.
Let me know if I should provide screenshots or something. I hope I didn't make this too confusing.
