I was creating new hair style using goku's ssb hair (adding stuff on it + removing) when i try to detach anything from a different hair style the edges become very sharp and larger in number, when i attach it to my main hair style it effects it as well. i tried using turbo smoothing normal smoothing and NURMS, but it didnt work, or the effect was barely noticeable. The green parts are the affected ones

Okay, read carefully and follow my instructions (I've added pictures to help too). Go to the utilities tab, and click the more button. Select SkinUtilities, and then click OK. It should look like this. Now, select your hair, and click Extract Skin data to Mesh. You should now have two meshes. Your original hair, and the skindata mesh. Select your skindata mesh, go to modify vertices, and select all of the vertices. Go down to weld, and weld selected with 0.001. Now go do the same for your original hair mesh, so both of them will be the exact same. Do not move any of the meshes, they require being in the same spot I believe. Select both meshes, go back to the utilities tab, and hit Import Skin Data From Mesh. You'll have a menu similar to this, hit Match By Name, and then hit OK. Delete the skindata mesh, and then you're finished. Your hair will no longer be unsmoothed, and will keep the rigging data.

The hairs you're trying to merge need to be one combined mesh, you then need to apply one material to the entire hair (Assuming said hair is one colour), and check the material's name.
If you're making CaC hair, the material should be named SKIN_hair IIRC.
If you're making hair in general, then the material's name doesn't matter.
When you export the files, you need to edit the .emm file and replace the material's name in that file with the one you used on the model, then it should work fine.
EDIT: also, if you add more things 'after' doing this, you have to redo the process again.

You can update the .emm file by using LibXenoverse, drag the .emm file onto emmtoxml.exe in Libxenoverse's Bin folder. You can edit the .xml file using any text editor (Notepad or Notepad++ preferrable though), and then drag the .xml onto the exe again to convert it back.
As for the lines and colouration, the lines will be due to the UV wrapping, to fix that you can do one of two things, you can either:
In 3DS max, apply a skin unwrap modifier to your mesh, and then flip the UV map vertically and re-export. or flip the texture in the EMB file vertically. The off-colour I don't really see, the blue and yellow you see on the hair is basically the game reflecting surroundings on the hair. In battle it shouldn't be as noticable.
As for many questions, I don't mind. I'm happy to help.
