So I decided to try and get back into XV mod creating after falling out of it when I couldn't figure out what LOD files were. Flash forward about 4 months today (Give or take, didn't really pay attention to time lapses), after creeping around the forum and trying to decide if I should wade back in, I find the thing that plagued me in the beginning still hasn't been explained enough for me to understand.
LOD files are the files that let the modded characters to appear in Con Ton City and not crash the game when they load in and you accidentally look at them. Sweet, I didn't know that, now I know.
What I don't know still is how to create them for the old Xenoverse 1 models that didn't have them. I've searched the forum, I've scoured the internet, I've played with Eternity's tools (Perhaps not enough). How do you make the LOD files? It's the one thing holding me back from coming back!
...And also my computer crashing and taking all of my unfinished models with it. And figuring out how to weight and color again. But that's problematic, I can work with the Xenoverse 1 mod pack I posted.

Just take the modded emd, copy it three times , give the copied files their original name and add before the file extension _LOD001 , _LOD002 and LOD003

That workaround will avoid the crash. But the model will look odd when seen from far...

LOD = Level of Detail.
I assume the different LOD files are lower poly versions of the models, therefore if you just copy and paste the existing high poly version, you'd have a high poly model on a low poly everything else.

So... not a bad odd, just... odd? Well, just look at a city character with a pseudo lod file like these. If you look at them from far, you will see weird things, I don't know how I would explain it.
