Hello,
I would like to know if there´s any way to visualize the textures of xv2 chars (or, if necessary, xv1) on a 3d program such as milkshape, blender, or 3ds max (or whatever). The textures are...weird for lack of a better word, so I can´t just apply them to the models. But, in xenoviewer you could have a model with the correct textures, so based on that, there must be an actual way to "decompress" the textures (or maybe a way to export the model with the "correct" textures from xenoviewer?). Like, it´s probably a lot of work, and it certainly doesn´t help much the modding community (after all, you would have to convert the textures back to the xv2 format to get the model back in the game), but is there someone who can provide some work-around? Or is there someone working on something like this?
I just want to be able to have a xv2 model in a 3d program, complete with textures. I know of one method, although I can´t do it with every single model. It is basically to recolor the model with new textures in blender, but it´s very time consuming, and the result isn´t the same as in the game.
Thank you for reading this far, and please, tell me if there´s some other way!
