As you will know, the colorable skin materials are:
Skin_bust, skin_hand, skin etc.
But there are mods whose material is only called “bust” or “hand”, so it does not recognize the colorable texture and as far as I know there are no .xml codes for materials with those names.
And if you change it with any 3D program you may notice a Rigging problem

i had this problem yesterday im using 3ds max, i had 2 parts of colorable thing one with id 1 and one with 6 the 6 was gray,i changed all that to 1 and booyah rig problem regardless if i skincopy the data or not, so material is also something to take in account with skining so here is what i did...open ur material editor in 3ds or whatever u have, get materials from the object, find the element that u need to change material name (in my case i had to find what was with id 6) and then click on the name of the material (in my case that one that worked was SKIN_bust, the one that had id 6 was called skin_bust) and then just rename the material (material 30, skin_bust, whatever u have) and type SKIN_bust in it, and it will work
so as long as u dont change the id that u already have, u can rename all the materials the same and everything will be colored the same through emm
