Apparently, DB FighterZ not only has EAC, but Denuvo as well store.steampowered.com//eula/678950_eula_0If a new XV3 does come out, and if Bandai decides to implement Denuvo in that game, would this heavily damage the modding community ? I've heard different statements from people saying that it means limited mods...to people saying that its not as big of a deal since it can get cracked.

Imma say it might just completely kill any and all modding, and seriously hurt XV3 if they did that...
But for FighterZ as it is a more standard fighting game, modding probably wouldn't have been a huge thing to begin with.

I doubt Denuvo will affect modding. Look at Sonic Mania, that has Denuvo and the modding scene for that is fine.

FighterZ is a UE4 game, you will probably be able to mod it with .pak files. If .pak files are not encrypted, they should be able to be extracted/repacked with existing tools.
If they are encrypted (like in SFV), a simple memory dump of the .exe while running and a simple cracker that tests all 16-bytes possibilities within the dump should be able to extract the .pak encryption key (or alternatively, an analysis of the dump with a disassembler). I have a encrypted .pak cracker built long ago for when I thought XV2 could use UE4 (due to bad reports on a news site). I can share that with the community if needed, but you would have to suppy the memory dump.
Anyway, the game is apparently bundled with EAC too, so EAC may not like additional files of any kind. (unknown if they will allow offline modding like in XV2).
As if something like xv2patcher is possible, I don't know. I don't have any game with denuvo, I don't know if it prevents unrecognized dll from loading. I don't know either if it prevents debugging (some of the features present in xv2patcher and some of the ones planned for next release have been possible thanks to debugging the game while running -> mixed analysis > dynamic analisys > static analysis).
That said, I don't know what others will do, but I have no plans on being in the Fighter Z scene, this was decided long before knowing the game has Denuvo (anyway it looks like Bandai has been using Denuvo consistently for a while).
