I saw someone use Vegito in place of your CAC in a You Tube video. I want to know if we can do full swaps for any roster character to replace your CAC.
Say I want to go through the Xenoverse 2 story as Kid Buu instead of a majin CAC(the actual one,not the purification skill,lol.). Is there a way to get the looks, fighting style and voice of Kid Buu in a Xenoverse 2 CAC?

I believe you can just use the CMS tool. Say if you wanted to use Kid Buu instead of Majin Male you would find MAM and replace all of the stuff for him with BUS (I think). I've never tried it though, so I'm not sure. Next time I'm in-game I'll figure it out.

It didn't. Though I believe they switched out the model though memory editing via cheat engine. I did the same thing in XV1. I'll see if you do it the same way, and when I figure it out, I'll then write a tutorial.

Thanks a lot! ^_^
Here's a video that shows what I meant.
The guy played as Darkchr's Kefla mod on story mode,so evidently he must have ported her over the CAC. You can see on this guy's channel he also played Story Mode as Vegito, a Baby Vegeta mod,and so on.

Getting a little bit closer. At the current moment, I have managed to turn the character model invisible.

Is that the first step to get to swap the model? ^_^

The invisible character is probably due to the costume the character is using. I know in XV1, you had to change the costume to get some characters to show up.

He said that the guy he was watching managed to get it to work with mods, so I tried it with gender/race swapping, Goku, and a Jiren mod. I managed to get the Gender/Race swap to work, but not Goku or Jiren.

With that tutorial, the character swap only works on Parallel Quests or can I actually play as that character in story mode in the place of my character?

It works for everything, until you close the game.

Unfortunately that's not true. I managed to get the model to show up, the problem is it only works in the HUB, as well as watching the cutscenes. But if you try playing the story, it forces it back to your own CaC.

Oh, that sucks. I probably shouldn't have said that, since I only tested it the hub world, character select, and training mode. I assumed, so, gomenasai.

Odd, I couldn't get the CaC to change in the character select, nor training mode myself. I could only replace the HUB model.

I followed the same tutorial I sent, but I realized that I couldn't get the models to change (only in the lobby), so in the part where you chose your profile (you searched your name for the character and it was like 2 from the bottom or something), I searched through all the results. I ended up replacing 10-15 different addresses and I got it to work, but then it crashed in the middle of a battle because I replaced the wrong address.

That's even weirder because whenever I searched my character's name, only two of them actually had the proper values, I replaced both of them but nothing happened in the character selection screen.

I had like 6 of my name show up, and if I remember correctly, the bottom 4 names had proper values. (At least during character select.) I am also lead to believe that their are multiple character IDs that you have to change for models (in different portions of the memory) unlike with XV1 where you only had to change 1. If you want, then the more I experiment with it,I can record my findings. It'll just help for when I write a tutorial (when I figure it all out.)

From experience (done a lot of CE work in XV1 and XV2), I can say it's not that easy in XV2... But I can tell you, how those videos were probably done: Make backup of one of the playable race folders (I'll just use HUM in this example). Delete content of HUM folder, copy contents of the character-you-want-to-play-as' folder (using CAU as example) into HUM folder. Rename those files HUM. Convert new HUM.bcs with genser, open resulting xml, replace all CAU instances with HUM, save and convert back to bcs. Now create a new character with that race (the race will not show up correctly in race select, but will work fine in create a character). Play game. Quick and dirty proof of concept (has problems with facial anims, probably would be better to use a female character race instead):
